While Zendaya has justifiably been the center of a lot of this morning’s talk, Kendall Jenner absolutely devoured this year’s red carpet at the Met Gala. Not only did she wear one of the more stunning and on-theme dresses on the actual red carpet, but she rotated two different equally as beautiful and historically significant outfits at the after party. It’s safe to say that Jenner completely enveloped this years’ theme, turned heads, and shut down the red carpet.

About her red carpet look

Jenner wore a never-before-worn archival Givenchy dress, which was designed by Alexander McQueen in 1999. This dress had only been previously modeled by a mannequin before, and never worn by a human.

“It’s been sleeping for the last 25 years. It’s literally a ‘sleeping beauty’,” the model said.

Jenner was allowed to wear the dress, but she was not allowed to alter or tailor it. Amazingly, it fit like a glove.

She has always been one to really step out at the Met Gala, taking advantage of the theme and being creative, and this year was no different. Each year I am excited to see what she shows up in, especially after the 2019 theme “Camp” when she wore a show-girl inspired orange Versace dress as the counterpart to her sister Kylie Jenner who was in a similar dress in purple.

Everyone knows the fun really only begins at the after party

After the festivities at the Met Gala were over, it was time to head to Tribeca for the after parties. Kendall Jenner made her first outfit change of the night into a beautiful, white lacey gown that was designed by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, paired with a micro-hand bag and strappy heeled sandals.

Next, she changed into an absolutely breathtaking latex angel-wing corset, once again by Alexander McQueen for Givenchy from the spring/summer 1997 collection. This archival piece was more than unique and looked beautiful paired with a sheer/silk high-low skirt and the same strappy sandals. This outfit is the definition of… “Can we hear some commotion for the dress?”

As a model, Jenner knows a thing or two about turning heads. She did nothing less of this at the 2024 Met Gala.
