Spotlight on Anslee Davidson

Anslee Davidson is an up-and-coming artist based out of Greensboro, Georgia. While Anslee is and always has been a Georgia native, she spends a lot of her time in Nashville, Tennessee, writing and preforming music. See below for a spotlight on Anslee Davidson so that you can get to know her a little better!

What is something that you can’t leave home without?

I can’t leave the house without my water bottle. I have to take it with me everywhere in case a song breaks out.

What is your favorite song that you have written so far, and why?

I’d say “My Roots” is my favorite song I’ve written so far. Not only because I love the melody and lyrics, but I also loved the experience of writing the song with my dad. We had a lot of fun writing that one.

How would you describe your style of music?

My music is best described as Country Folk, but it has inspiration from modern indie-coustic and alternative.

When do you plan on releasing your third single?

My next single came out on February 11! You can stream it wherever you listen to your music.

How have you come into your style more, as you have had to dress up for performances and appearances?

I have found that finding fashion inspirations, people I love to watch on stage and off, has been the biggest help in figuring out my own style. My style is kind of an accumulation of all the artist I love.

What would you tell someone who is interested in making their way into the music industry, or anyone who is eager to pursue their dreams but don’t know how to start?

My advice to anyone trying to make it or get their start in the music industry is to be patient, and to know that no one’s journey is the same. It may take years or it may take months but no matter what staying true to your self is key to being content with how you make your way in the industry.
