Summer 2024 trend predictions
The sun’s been shining and the weather has started to warm up here in Mississippi, so naturally, I have summer on my mind. The groundhog did see his shadow, so hopefully he can earn some credibility this year.
I know spring is really just blooming, but soon enough it will already be time to spring clean, do a wardrobe flip, and start shopping for summer. Here’s a list of my summer 2024 trend predictions to help get the wheels turning and the cards swiping.
Sequin embellished EVERYTHING!
Sequins, sequins, sequins. What once was something you ran to in the store as a little girl has now come full circle with all us 2000s girls and is a mature statement of taste. I can’t WAIT to wear sequins this summer.
One piece swim suits
I used to cry and fight my mom for hours when she told me I had to wear a one-piece swimsuit and I wasn’t old enough to wear a bikini. Well, thank god for creative minds that made one-pieces… cute? I will be purchasing at least one for my trip this summer.
Mini skirts
Mini skirts have already started to make their grand reappearance this spring, but I definitely see that trend continuing far into the summer and potentially even into the fall. And as much as I love a good monochrome, all-black outfit, I plan to wear ALL the colors this summer!
Flip flop heels
Some of you may think these are hit-or miss, but I promise, if paired with the right outfit, these heels are going to be the hottest item of the summer. Not only are they a tiny kitten heel so perfect for beach walking and bar hopping, but they’re comfortable and easy to slip on and off.
High waisted bottoms
Funky watches
My watch never comes off my wrist, and I think all of these super unique and funky watches would be the most perfect way to add to an outfit.
Big necklaces
Choker’s are out, big necklaces and necklace stacks are back in! Think… statement piece, not Charming Charlie.
