A Minimalist’s Guide to Neon
Head-to-toe color can be very overwhelming, but it’s always important to add the perfect pop of color to a simple outfit- especially this time of year. Hang up all the neutrals and bring out the hot pink, lime green, and lavender for spring and summer. Anything neon or colorful will dress up a minimalistic outfit any day. Whether you’re willing to make your pockets hurt with designer pieces or you want something more affordable, I’ve got you. Here is your minimalist guide to neon, below:
Hooray! The blazer is back, and I am so excited about it. Since the movie “A Simple Favor” came out, I have been obsessed with queen Blake Lively and all things blazers. I think I have seen this movie at least 6 times. No, I don’t want to talk about it.
If you’re more minimal, a blazer set may not always be for you. However, you can always dress up some black leather pants with a neon blazer.
A crossbody or clutch purse is the perfect addition to any outfit. There is nothing cuter than a simple outfit with a mini bag. See below for some of my favorite, hot new purses.
Leather, silk, parachute, OH MY! There are all kinds of pants to choose from. My personal favorite would be leather, but recently I’ve been loving the baggy pants look with a tight shirt on top.
I never leave the house without my jewelry. My hands, neck, and wrists feel naked without it. I usually stick to all gold everything, but if I’m wearing a simple dress, I love to add a big, statement earring.
I’m a sneaker freak, so it is always going to be my first instinct to choose a neon sneaker to go with a simple outfit. I would rather wear sneakers any day than anything else, but I know some people aren’t like me. So, here are a couple of options for neon, statement shoes that go with any minimalist outfit.
Bond. James Bond. I know you were thinking it. Don’t be intimidated by the word “trench coat…” I promise it’s better than it sounds. A leather or soft trench coat in a bright shade of neon adds spunk to any outfit. You won’t go unnoticed with a knee-length, neon coat!
It’s comfortable, it’s cute, and it’s a fashion statement. Faux-fur and fuzz are my favorite jackets to pair with any outfit in the winter. One of my trademarks is a tight black shirt with leather pants and a furry jacket. I promise, you can’t go wrong!
