A few years ago, Coach and Kate Spade may have been brands that you skimmed over when browsing the shelves of TJMax and Goodwill. They have both always been just on the cusp of being considered a high-end, designer brand, but as of this year, Coach and Kate Spade are coming back into the picture as they have pushed out new products and designs that have grasped the attention of women in their 20s. Let me just introduce this post by saying: their creative and design teams need a raise.

Recently, Coach has been one to capitalize on trends. Girly girls are ruling the world right now, and cherries and bows are constantly being put on clothing, bags, shoes, and more. Also, cardholders are the new “in” right now because they’re easy to slip in your pocket without having to take a purse out, and Coach has certainly delivered with both.

Although, I hate to break it to you, but most of what’s been trending on Tik-Tok is sold out.

The Soft Tabby Shoulder Bag is one that is on my wishlist this year. It is a new arrival, and while I really want to gate keep this purse, I know it’s far too late and I have to share it with you. At only $450 compared to many other luxury brands that tend to start in the $2,000s, this bag is chic, classy, and one that I would be willing to spend my paycheck on.

Not only is their bag rebrand to die for, but this dainty Cadie Watch is only $295 on their website right now. Girls know- a nice, long-lasting watch for under $500 is practically unheard of.

Kate Spade has always been known for their distinctive color — green — which has remained at the heart of the brand since it took off in the late 90s.

When Kate Spade hired a new Creative Director in 2019, the company started to head in a totally new direction, as the entire team recognized that it needed a fresh breath of life if it was going to continue to grow as a designer brand.

As a brand that once lived in a bubble of simple, girly bags that were usually single-toned in color, they started to branch out creatively in the 2020s.

The release of their New York City collection took the world by storm, and now, wallets and purses from this collection are almost impossible to find.

They have completely transitioned from middle-aged mom bags to unique, statement purses that capture the attention of passersby in the streets of Manhattan.

I imagine Carrie Bradshaw would have one of these pieces tucked tightly underneath her arms when heading to meet Mr. Big at a rooftop bar.
